About this treatment
Professional dental hygiene is the foundation of long-term oral health: even excellent home brushing leaves plaque and mineralised tartar in areas a toothbrush cannot reach, and untreated deposits drive gum inflammation, bleeding, bad breath and eventually periodontal disease and tooth loss.
The first visit at Genesys Medical is a one-hour entry appointment (2,000 Kč): the hygienist assesses gum health and deposits, removes tartar ultrasonically, cleans and polishes the teeth, and coaches an individualised home-care routine — brushes, interdental tools and technique. Follow-up maintenance visits (30 minutes, 1,500 Kč) keep deposits under control; deep scaling (1,000 Kč add-on) addresses subgingival deposits where pockets have formed.
Children have their own gentler protocol with an introductory visit (1,500 Kč) and regular recalls (1,000 Kč), building positive dental habits early. Regular hygiene visits every six months are recommended, and they pair naturally with the clinic's PureWhitening teeth-whitening service since whitening works best on freshly cleaned enamel.
