A crown restores a tooth too damaged for a filling — after large decay, fracture or root canal treatment — by covering the prepared tooth with a precision-made cap that returns full chewing function and appearance. **Zirconia crowns (9,000 Kč)** are the modern metal-free standard: zirconium dioxide offers high flexural strength with translucency close to natural enamel, no dark metal margin at the gumline, and excellent biocompatibility for patients with metal sensitivities. **Metal-ceramic crowns (8,000 Kč)** remain a proven, economical workhorse — a metal core veneered with tooth-coloured porcelain — particularly for back teeth. Treatment takes two visits: the tooth is shaped and an impression taken at the first appointment (with a temporary restoration placed), and the laboratory-made crown is fitted and cemented at the second.
