About this treatment
Chemical peeling uses precisely formulated acid solutions to remove damaged surface skin layers in a controlled way, triggering renewal of the epidermis and stimulating the dermis. Depending on the acids used and their concentration, peels treat congested and acne-prone skin, fade pigmentation and post-inflammatory marks, refine texture and fine lines, and restore radiance to dull skin.
The clinic works with the British Medik8 professional peel range, with dedicated protocols for three indications: acne-prone skin (salicylic-led formulations that decongest pores and calm breakouts), pigmentation spots (brightening acid blends targeting melanin), and skin rejuvenation (resurfacing blends for tone and texture). For deeper correction, a physician-performed medical peel is available.
A session takes 30–45 minutes. Superficial Medik8 peels involve minimal downtime — mild redness for a few hours and light flaking for several days. Medical peels may produce more pronounced peeling over 3–7 days. A course of 3–6 sessions spaced 2–4 weeks apart delivers the best results, and strict SPF use is essential throughout the course.
