Botulinum toxin remains the most widely performed aesthetic procedure worldwide because it addresses the root cause of dynamic wrinkles: repeated contraction of facial muscles. Tiny, precisely placed injections temporarily reduce the activity of targeted muscles, allowing the overlying skin to smooth out while preserving natural expression when dosed correctly.
At Genesys Medical the treatment is carried out by MUDr. Jana Synková, a maxillofacial surgeon and corrective dermatology specialist certified in both classical and modern botulinum techniques, including lifting techniques designed to balance facial proportions. A consultation precedes every first treatment to map muscle activity and agree on a natural-looking plan.
The session itself takes around 15–30 minutes. Effects begin to appear after 3–7 days, reach full strength at about two weeks, and typically last 3–4 months. Treatable zones at the clinic include the glabella, forehead, crow's feet, central face and mouth corners, upper lip lines, chin and platysma. Avoid rubbing the area, intense exercise and saunas for 24 hours after treatment.
