Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) by Dr. David Hill MD for a flatter, firmer abdominal contour. $7,500–$11,500. Removes excess skin, tightens separated abdominal muscles (diastasis recti), and can be combined with liposuction. Two to five hour procedure under general anaesthesia. Full recovery four to six weeks; results long-lasting with stable weight.
Tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) at Fulcrum Aesthetics is performed by Dr. David Hill MD and addresses the full triad of abdominal aging and post-pregnancy changes: excess and lax abdominal skin below the navel, diastasis recti (separation of the rectus abdominis muscles along the midline), and residual fatty deposits that persist despite diet and exercise. Unlike liposuction alone, abdominoplasty can remove the excess, stretched, and often striate-marked skin of the lower abdomen — a structural issue that no non-surgical intervention or liposuction can correct. The standard full abdominoplasty incision runs low across the lower abdomen from hip to hip, positioned to be concealed by underwear and swimwear. Through this incision, the abdominal skin flap is elevated from the underlying fascia, the rectus muscles are repaired with permanent sutures along the midline to restore a flat abdominal wall (diastasis repair), redundant skin is excised, and the umbilicus (navel) is repositioned to a natural-appearing location on the tightened skin. Liposuction of the flanks or remaining abdominal fat can be performed concurrently in a combined procedure. A mini abdominoplasty, using a shorter incision and addressing only the area below the navel without muscle repair, is also available for patients with more limited concerns. Surgery takes two to five hours under general anaesthesia; recovery involves limited activity for the first two weeks, light activity at three to four weeks, and full exercise and lifting at six weeks. Drains are typically placed and removed at the first post-operative visit. Final results are long-lasting with stable body weight. Pricing ranges from $7,500 to $11,500.
