Laser tattoo removal at FemiCentrum uses an Nd:YAG laser that delivers rapid pulses of light absorbed by the tattoo pigment, breaking it into tiny particles the body can gradually clear. Treatment is priced per session by the size and colour of the tattoo, and most tattoos need a series of sessions spaced several weeks apart to fade. It suits people wanting to lighten or remove an unwanted tattoo, with realistic expectations set at the first visit.
About this treatment
Laser tattoo removal works by directing very short, high-energy pulses of laser light at the ink sitting in the skin. The Nd:YAG laser used at FemiCentrum is absorbed by tattoo pigment and shatters it into fragments small enough for the body's own immune system to carry away over the weeks that follow. Because different ink colours and depths respond differently, results build progressively rather than appearing after a single visit.
At the clinic each session is relatively quick — often well under thirty minutes for a small tattoo — and is commonly described as feeling like the snap of an elastic band against the skin; numbing or cooling can be used for comfort. Afterwards the area may be red, slightly swollen or form a light scab, and aftercare to keep it clean and protected from the sun is important for healing. Sessions are spaced several weeks apart to allow the body to clear…
