Laser Tattoo Removal (Nd:YAG)

Laser tattoo removal works by directing very short, high-energy pulses of laser light at the ink sitting in the skin. The Nd:YAG laser used at FemiCentrum is absorbed by tattoo pigment and shatters it into fragments small enough for the body's own immune system to carry away over the weeks that follow. Because different ink colours and depths respond differently, results build progressively rather than appearing after a single visit.

At the clinic each session is relatively quick — often well under thirty minutes for a small tattoo — and is commonly described as feeling like the snap of an elastic band against the skin; numbing or cooling can be used for comfort.
