The fractional CO2 laser resurfaces the skin in a grid of microscopic columns, leaving the surrounding tissue intact to support recovery. It is used to improve texture, fine lines, acne scarring and tone, and the studio can focus it on the whole face, the neck and décolleté, the eye area, the hands, individual scars or stretch marks. As a more intensive resurfacing treatment it involves a few days of recovery and is typically planned around your schedule.
About this treatment
A fractional CO2 laser delivers energy into the skin in a dense pattern of microscopic treatment zones rather than across the whole surface at once. This fractional approach prompts a strong collagen-remodelling response that is associated with smoother texture, softened fine lines, improvement of acne scarring and a more even tone, while the untreated bridges of skin between the zones help the area heal more quickly than fully ablative resurfacing of old.
At FemiCentrum the skin is cleansed and numbed before treatment, which takes around forty-five to sixty minutes for the face. Afterwards the skin feels warm and looks flushed, with mild swelling and a sandpaper-like texture for several days as the surface renews; careful moisturising and strict sun protection are essential during recovery.
