The General Health Check is Express Pathology's entry-level screen, covering the five core markers that provide a quick-read on organ function and metabolic health. Liver function tests (ALT, AST, GGT, ALP, bilirubin) reveal how well your liver handles toxins, medications, alcohol, and supplements. Kidney function (creatinine, eGFR, urea, electrolytes) assesses filtration efficiency — a process that declines silently with age and can be accelerated by dehydration, high-protein diets, and certain medications.
