About this treatment
Root canal treatment, or endodontics, addresses a tooth whose inner pulp — the soft tissue containing nerves and blood vessels — has become infected or irreversibly inflamed, often through deep decay, a crack or trauma. Left untreated, this can cause significant pain and abscess formation.
