A dental crown is a tooth-shaped restoration that completely covers a natural tooth or sits on top of a dental implant, rebuilding a tooth that has been weakened by decay, a large filling, a crack or root canal treatment. By encasing the visible part of the tooth, a crown restores its strength and function while also improving its appearance, and it is made individually to match the colour and shape of the neighbouring teeth.
