Vanquish ME — Contactless Radiofrequency Fat Reduction

Vanquish ME at Eva Clinic is a completely contactless radiofrequency device that selectively heats and eliminates subcutaneous fat across large areas — abdomen, flanks, and thighs — without touching the skin. The applicator frame hovers 1 cm above the treatment area, delivering selective RF energy that preferentially heats fatty tissue to approximately 45°C while keeping the skin surface at a safe temperature (monitored continuously). At this temperature, adipocyte cell membranes undergo apoptosis — programmed death — and the released fat is gradually cleared by the lymphatic system over the following weeks. The treatment is painless (most clients describe warmth), requires no recovery, and is effective for patients with BMI up to 30.

Vanquish ME (BTL Aesthetics) represents a technically distinct approach to non-invasive fat reduction: while most devices (cryolipolysis, ultrasound, direct-contact RF) require physical contact with the skin and treat a limited area per session, Vanquish ME uses a frameless applicator positioned 1–2 cm above the skin surface to deliver selective radiofrequency energy across a broad treatment zone simultaneously. The selectivity that makes this approach safe is founded on the different electrical impedance properties of fat versus other tissues: fatty tissue has a significantly higher impedance than water-dense tissues such as muscle, blood, and skin. The Vanquish ME system is tuned to a frequency at which this differential impedance produces a greater heating effect in fat than in adjacent structures. Real-time temperature monitoring (infrared sensors embedded in the frame) ensures the skin surface does not exceed safe limits, while the fat layer below heats to 44–47°C — the thermal threshold for adipocyte apoptosis. At Eva Clinic, the Vanquish ME frame is positioned above the abdomen or flanks, oriented to encompass the full circumference of the treatment zone. Each session runs for 30–45 minutes. The characteristic sensation is warmth, occasionally building to a more pronounced heat feeling in areas of thicker fat deposition — this is tolerated without discomfort by the vast majority of clients. Following the session, clients can immediately dress and return to normal activities. Fat cell apoptosis triggered by thermal stress is not immediate — the damaged adipocytes are recognised and cleared by macrophages over 2–4 weeks following each session. Circumference measurements and photographic assessments show progressive improvement after each session, with the final result assessable 8–12 weeks after the last treatment. A standard course is 4–6 weekly sessions; circumference reductions of 2–6 cm across the waist are commonly reported. Vanquish ME is most effective in clients with BMI ≤30 and a moderate layer of subcutaneous fat. It is not a weight-loss device and does not benefit from very thin fat layers (less than 1.5 cm subcutaneous depth). It should not be used over metal implants, in clients with electronic implants, or in those with abnormal lipid metabolism disorders. Pregnancy is an absolute contraindication.
