PRP/PRF Therapy

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) therapy at Eva Clinic uses the patient's own blood, centrifuged to concentrate growth factors, and reinjected or applied via microneedling to stimulate collagen production, tissue regeneration, and — on the scalp — hair follicle activation. The process is entirely autologous: a small blood draw of 10–20 ml is centrifuged to separate the platelet-rich plasma, which is then applied within minutes. Growth factors including PDGF, TGF-β, and VEGF directly stimulate fibroblasts and keratinocytes at the injection site. MUDr. Chovančíková applies PRP to the face, neck, décolletage, hands, and scalp, adapting the delivery method to the treatment area and the client's preference for needles vs. microneedling.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy leverages the body's innate repair mechanisms by concentrating the growth-factor payload of blood platelets and delivering it precisely to a target tissue. Platelets — the small cell fragments primarily known for their role in clotting — contain dense-core alpha granules loaded with bioactive proteins including Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF), Transforming Growth Factor-β (TGF-β), Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF), and Insulin-Like Growth Factor (IGF-1). When activated at the injection site, these granules release their contents and initiate a cascade of cell proliferation, collagen synthesis, and angiogenesis that mirrors the body's natural wound-healing response. At Eva Clinic, the PRP preparation follows a standardised protocol: 10–20 ml of venous blood is drawn from the client's arm and placed in anticoagulant-containing PRP tubes, which are centrifuged at 1500–2000 rpm for 8–10 minutes to separate the plasma fraction from red blood cells and buffy coat. The resulting PRP — with a platelet concentration approximately 4–6× higher than baseline blood — is drawn into fine syringes for immediate use. Application technique varies by treatment area: **Face:** MUDr. Chovančíková uses serial-puncture microinjections in the mid-dermis across the forehead, cheeks, perioral area, and jawline, supplemented with Dermapen-assisted topical application for even coverage. This combination maximises both the intradermal growth factor depot and the surface-level micro-healing stimulus. **Scalp (hair loss treatment):** PRP is injected in a grid pattern across thinning scalp zones, targeting the perifollicular dermal tissue where growth factors directly stimulate hair bulb keratinocytes. Studies including those by Takikawa et al. (2011) and Cervelli et al. (2014) support significant improvement in hair density with a course of 3–6 monthly PRP injections. **Neck, décolletage, hands:** Area-specific serial-puncture injection with Dermapen-assisted application. Because PRP is derived from the patient's own blood, allergic reactions are essentially impossible. Mild swelling, redness, and occasional bruising at injection sites resolve within 24–72 hours. One session produces mild early improvement; the full collagen-remodelling response builds over 4–8 weeks. A course of 2–3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart provides significantly greater and more durable results than a single treatment. Maintenance every 6–12 months sustains gains. Contraindications include haematological disorders, platelet dysfunction, anticoagulant therapy, active infection or inflammation at the site, and corticosteroid use in the preceding month.
