Polynucleotides (PDRN — PolyDeoxyRiboNucleotides) are DNA-fragment derivatives extracted from salmon DNA that stimulate skin cell regeneration at a molecular level. At Eva Clinic, MUDr. Chovančíková injects PDRN preparations into the mid-dermis, where they interact with cell-surface receptors (primarily A2A adenosine receptors) to activate fibroblast proliferation and collagen synthesis. The treatment is particularly well-suited to clients aged 30+ seeking to address the accelerating collagen breakdown phase of skin ageing, post-sun damage regeneration, and neck or décolletage quality improvements. Unlike HA fillers, polynucleotides work through biological signalling rather than volume addition, producing gradual but sustained improvements over a course of 2–3 sessions.

About this treatment

Polynucleotides represent a category of injectable biorevitalisers derived from purified salmon or trout DNA fragments. The active components — polydeoxynucleotides (PDRN) and polydeoxyribonucleotides (PN) — interact with specific cellular receptors to stimulate tissue repair pathways. The primary mechanism involves binding to A2A adenosine receptors on fibroblasts, triggering intracellular signalling cascades that upregulate collagen type I and III…

At Eva Clinic, MUDr. Chovančíková uses polynucleotide preparations that have been clinically validated in randomised controlled trials for photoaged skin, periorbital rejuvenation, and scalp hair quality. Brands used include Plinest, Newest, and similar products with established safety profiles across the European market.

The injection technique involves fine-needle intradermal placement in a serial-puncture or micro-deposit pattern, spacing injection points every 1–2 cm across the treatment area. A topical anaesthetic is applied 30 minutes before to minimise discomfort from the intradermal level of placement (somewhat deeper than superficial papule techniques). Treatment zones include the face (full or zonal), neck, décolletage, and hands.

Good to know

Duration
30–45 minutes
Mechanism
A2A adenosine receptor activation → fibroblast stimulation
Downtime
Minimal — papules resolve in 24 hours
Course
2–3 sessions, 3–4 weeks apart

Who is this for?

Clients 30+ with early photoageing, collagen loss, fine surface lines, post-sun damage, neck and décolletage quality, fish-allergy-free clients seeking PRP alternative

Preparation required

Inform MUDr. Chovančíková of any fish or seafood allergy (PDRN is salmon-derived — treatment is contraindicated with fish allergy). Avoid retinoids for 3 days prior. Come with a clean face.
