Lip augmentation at Eva Clinic uses hyaluronic acid to enhance lip volume, refine the Cupid's bow, and restore natural projection in lips thinned by ageing. MUDr. Chovančíková approaches lip treatment conservatively — the goal is proportional enhancement relative to the individual's facial structure, not an obviously augmented appearance. A topical or injectable local anaesthetic is applied before treatment; the procedure itself takes 30–40 minutes within the 60-minute appointment, with the remaining time used for assessment, planning, and post-injection review. Mild swelling is expected for 24–72 hours before the settled result becomes visible. Hyaluronidase is on hand to dissolve the filler if needed, making this a low-risk, reversible procedure.
About this treatment
Lip aesthetics is one of the most technically demanding areas of injectable medicine, requiring precise product placement to achieve natural-looking volume, border definition, and symmetry without the telltale signs of over-treatment (excessive eversion, loss of philtral columns, or the 'duck' appearance caused by poorly placed anterior projection).
At Eva Clinic, MUDr. Chovančíková begins every lip consultation with a facial proportion analysis: she assesses the current lip-to-face ratio, the natural Cupid's bow shape, upper-to-lower lip balance, and the dental show at rest and on smiling. This determines both the volume increment and the placement strategy — whether the primary goal is body filling, border definition, philtral column enhancement, or perioral wrinkle softening.
For the procedure, a topical lidocaine cream is applied to the lips for 15–20 minutes before injections, and a dental nerve block (local anaesthetic injection) is available for patients who prefer complete numbing. MUDr. Chovančíková uses HA products specifically formulated for lip anatomy — moderate cohesivity and moderate hydrophilicity to integrate naturally with lip tissue without excessive swelling. Injection is performed via fine-gauge needles with…
