Intimalase at Eva Clinic is a non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation treatment using the Fotona SP Dynamis laser with its G-Runner automated vaginal applicator. The Er:YAG laser energy is delivered in a controlled 360° automated rotation to all segments of the vaginal wall, stimulating collagen remodelling and tissue tightening from within. The treatment addresses post-pregnancy vaginal laxity, vaginal dryness (particularly in peri- and post-menopausal women), recurrent infections from altered mucosal health, and reduced sexual function. The procedure is completely painless — clients experience only mild warmth — requires no anaesthesia, and has a recovery restriction of only one week of sexual abstinence.

About this treatment

Vaginal laxity and mucosal atrophy are among the most commonly underreported gynaecological aesthetic and functional concerns, affecting an estimated 40–50% of postpartum women and the majority of peri- and post-menopausal women. Conventional treatment options have historically been limited to surgical colporrhaphy (vaginal tightening surgery) or topical oestrogen therapy — neither of which is suitable or acceptable for all patients.

Intimalase (Fotona) offers a non-surgical laser alternative using the clinic's Fotona SP Dynamis platform. The procedure uses an Er:YAG laser wavelength delivered via the G-Runner — an automated rotating intra-vaginal applicator that delivers controlled laser pulses to the entire vaginal mucosa circumferentially, ensuring even treatment without operator-dependent variability.

The physical mechanism: Er:YAG laser energy at 2940 nm is absorbed by water in the vaginal mucosal tissue, producing thermal stimulation of fibroblasts in the lamina propria. This stimulates collagen type I and III synthesis and collagen fibre remodelling — increasing tissue density and restoring mechanical competence to the vaginal walls. The mucosal surface temperature is maintained within a safe therapeutic window by the automated pulse delivery system.
