Nasolabial & Marionette Fold Correction (Hyaluronic Acid)

Hyaluronic acid filler placed along the nose-to-mouth (nasolabial) folds and the downward marionette lines from the corners of the mouth, softening the creases that deepen as midface volume is lost. Nasolabial folds run from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth, while marionette lines extend downward from the mouth corners toward the chin. Both tend to deepen with age, partly through skin changes but largely because volume lost higher in the midface allows the tissue to descend. Hyaluronic acid filler can soften these creases directly, and at EstheticKompleks the assessment often considers supporting the cheeks too, since restoring midface volume frequently improves the folds more naturally than filling the lines in isolation. Topical numbing is applied and most fillers contain lidocaine for comfort. The gel is placed with a needle or cannula along and around the fold; results are immediate and settle over one to two weeks, with mild swelling or small bruises possible for a few days. Hyaluronic acid in this area is typically associated with a duration of many months before it is gradually broken down, and it can usually be dissolved if adjustment is wanted.
