PRP Plasmatherapy

Type

PRP/PRF Therapy

Duration

1 hour

Esthesia Clinic offers PRP (platelet-rich plasma) plasmatherapy for facial rejuvenation, scalp and hair loss treatment, and skin quality improvement. A small blood draw is centrifuged to concentrate platelets — cells that carry a dense payload of growth factors — which are then re-injected or micro-needled into the target area. The released growth factors (PDGF, TGF-β, VEGF, EGF) trigger collagen synthesis, fibroblast recruitment, angiogenesis, and tissue repair at the injection site. As an autologous treatment using the patient's own blood, PRP carries zero risk of allergy or immune reaction. Three protocols are available: a standard basic PRP for straightforward applications, Meaplasma for advanced facial rejuvenation, and Regenlab Swiss PRP using the clinically validated Swiss preparation system.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a concentration of the patient's own platelets suspended in a small volume of plasma, prepared from a standard blood draw through a centrifugation process that separates red cells and white cells from the platelet-dense plasma layer. Platelets contain alpha granules loaded with growth factors and cytokines — when activated, they release these bioactive molecules directly into the treatment tissue, initiating a cascade of repair and regeneration processes. **Key growth factors released by activated platelets:** - Platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF): Fibroblast proliferation and collagen synthesis - Transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β): Collagen production, tissue remodelling, anti-inflammatory - Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF): Angiogenesis — new blood vessel formation, improving tissue oxygenation - Epidermal growth factor (EGF): Keratinocyte migration, epithelial cell proliferation - Fibroblast growth factor (FGF): Fibroblast activation, skin thickness restoration - Insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1): Cell survival, anti-apoptotic effects **Preparation protocols at Esthesia:** *Basic PRP (1,500 Kč):* Standard centrifuge preparation producing a concentrated platelet layer suitable for straightforward facial rejuvenation, scar treatment, and hair loss applications. *Meaplasma (5,400 Kč):* An advanced PRP preparation protocol using a specialised kit that achieves higher platelet concentration and better growth factor yield for premium facial rejuvenation applications — targeting more significant skin laxity, under-eye rejuvenation, and perioral area treatment. *Regenlab Swiss PRP (8,000 Kč):* Uses the Regenlab CE-certified Swiss preparation system — one of the most rigorously clinically validated PRP kits in Europe, with documented studies supporting consistent platelet concentration (typically 5–8× baseline) and sterility. Preferred for patients seeking the most validated protocol. **Clinical applications:** *Facial skin rejuvenation:* PRP is micro-needled or injected across the face and neck to improve skin texture, tone, and firmness. Particularly effective for under-eye dark circles (vascular and thin-skin component), perioral skin quality, and overall luminosity. Progressive improvement over 4–8 weeks. *Hair loss (androgenetic alopecia, diffuse thinning):* PRP injected into the scalp dermis targets follicular stem cells in the bulge region, stimulating vascular supply, prolonging the anagen phase, and partially reversing miniaturisation in early-to-moderate hair loss. The standard protocol is 3 sessions 4 weeks apart, with maintenance every 4–6 months. *Scar treatment:* PRP combined with microneedling improves atrophic acne scars and surgical scars by stimulating collagen synthesis and angiogenesis within the scar tissue. **Treatment protocol:** Blood draw (10–20 mL) → centrifugation (15–20 minutes) → PRP extraction → topical anaesthetic applied to treatment zone → PRP injected or micro-needled into target area. Full session including preparation: 45–60 minutes. **Safety profile:** Autologous — no allergy or rejection risk. Primary adverse effects: bruising and soreness at injection sites (resolves within 48–72 hours), temporary swelling in periorbital area if treated there, mild redness. **Contraindications:** Thrombocytopenia (low platelets), haematological disorders, systemic corticosteroid use within 2 weeks, immunosuppressive therapy, active infection at treatment site, pregnancy.
