Panoramic Dental X-ray

A panoramic X-ray captures a single wide image of all the teeth, both jaws and the surrounding structures in one scan. At Centrum Estetique it is used for diagnosis and treatment planning — for example assessing wisdom teeth, infections, bone levels or the overall picture before more complex work. The clinic also has cone-beam CT (CBCT) for detailed 3D implant planning, priced separately as part of its digital imaging.

A panoramic dental X-ray, or pantomogram, is a single radiograph that shows the entire mouth in one image — all the upper and lower teeth, both jawbones, the sinuses and the jaw joints. Unlike small intra-oral films that show a few teeth, the panoramic view gives the dentist a broad overview, which is useful for assessing wisdom teeth, locating infections or cysts, checking bone levels, reviewing the development of children's teeth and planning treatment that involves several teeth. At Centrum Estetique the panoramic X-ray is taken with modern digital radiography, which captures the image quickly and is associated with lower radiation doses than older film systems. The scan itself takes only moments: the patient stands still while the machine rotates around the head. The resulting image is reviewed by the dentist as part of diagnosis and planning. For implant treatment and more detailed surgical planning, the clinic also operates cone-beam CT (CBCT), which produces a three-dimensional view of the jaw and is central to its 'Safe Implant Concept' workflow; CBCT is a separate, more detailed scan with its own fee. Imaging is requested when it adds clinically useful information, and the dentist will explain why a particular X-ray is recommended. The panoramic X-ray is a standard, low-dose diagnostic tool that supports safe, well-planned dental care.
