A dental crown is a custom-made cap that fits over a tooth to restore its shape, strength and appearance when a large filling, fracture or root canal treatment has left it weakened. A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by joining crowns on the teeth or implants on either side of a gap, filling the space with a fixed restoration. At Centrum Estetique these restorations are part of a digital prosthetic workflow. After a prosthetic consultation the tooth is prepared and a digital impression is captured with a 3D intraoral scanner, which is used to design the crown or bridge precisely; the clinic's in-house laboratory and technicians then produce it. Patients can choose all-ceramic (full-ceramic) restorations, which are metal-free and associated with a very natural, translucent appearance well suited to visible front teeth, or porcelain-fused options that combine strength with good aesthetics. Shade and shape are matched to the neighbouring teeth as part of the digital design. Treatment usually takes two or more visits — preparation and impressions first, then fitting once the restoration is ready, with a temporary in between where needed. Well-made crowns and bridges are associated with restored chewing function and a more even smile, and their longevity depends on individual factors and good oral hygiene.
