- Tooth-coloured composite filling, shaped and polished
A composite filling repairs a tooth affected by decay or minor damage using a tooth-coloured resin that bonds to the tooth and is shaped and hardened in place. At Centrum Estetique fillings are part of conservative dentistry, restoring function while blending in naturally with the surrounding tooth. Local anaesthetic is provided at no extra cost. Pricing is per filling and depends on how much of the tooth needs rebuilding.
About this treatment
Composite fillings are the modern, tooth-coloured way to repair teeth damaged by decay, wear or small fractures. The dentist removes the decayed or weakened tissue, prepares the cavity and builds it back up with a composite resin that is bonded to the tooth in layers and set hard with a curing light, then shaped and polished to match the natural contour and bite.
At Centrum Estetique this is part of routine conservative dentistry, carried out under local anaesthetic — which the clinic provides free of charge. Because the resin is matched to the shade of the surrounding enamel, a well-placed composite filling is discreet and restores both the strength and the appearance of the tooth, making it suitable for front and back teeth alike. Where decay is more extensive and a simple filling would not be durable, the…
The cost of a filling depends on its size and the number of tooth surfaces involved, so the price list gives a 'from' figure that is confirmed after the tooth has been examined. Treating decay early with a filling helps avoid more involved treatment such as root canal therapy later. Longevity depends on individual factors, the size of the restoration and good oral hygiene, and the dentist will advise on care at the visit.
