Injection Lipolysis — Fat Dissolving Injections

Injection lipolysis using a fat-dissolving compound injected directly into localised fat deposits to break down and permanently remove fat cells without surgery or scarring. Injection lipolysis — also known as injectable fat dissolution or phosphatidylcholine-based lipolysis — uses a pharmaceutical compound injected directly into subcutaneous fat to physically destroy the fat cell membrane. Once the cell membrane is disrupted, the stored triglycerides are released into the interstitial fluid, broken down by local enzymes and metabolised out of the body through the lymphatic and circulatory systems. Unlike mechanical liposuction, the process is gradual: the treated fat cells die over several days and the body's macrophages clear the debris over two to eight weeks, which is why results appear progressively rather than immediately. Common side effects include redness, swelling and mild tenderness in the treated area for several days — this is expected as the inflammatory process of fat breakdown begins. More significant swelling can occur at the submental area. The fat cells that are destroyed do not regenerate, so results are permanent, though new fat can accumulate if the patient gains overall body weight afterwards.
