Liposuction

Liposuction at EsteticUsti removes localised fat deposits resistant to diet and exercise using an oscillation-vibration assisted technique, through small 3 mm incisions that leave approximately 0.5 cm scars. All procedures are performed under IV sedation and local anaesthesia with a special tumescent solution pre-injection to minimise bleeding, bruising, and discomfort. Patients stay one night in the clinic's on-site recovery room. A compression garment is worn continuously for one month post-surgery. Final body contour is evaluated at three months as swelling resolves. The clinic identifies ages 18–35 as the optimal range for best skin retraction outcomes.
Liposuction mechanically disrupts and aspirates adipose tissue from targeted body compartments. EsteticUsti uses an oscillation-vibration assisted technique — sometimes called power-assisted liposuction (PAL) — in which the cannula tip vibrates at a high frequency, loosening fat cells before aspiration rather than relying solely on the surgeon's manual force. This results in more uniform fat removal, less surgeon fatigue during longer procedures, and gentler handling of surrounding neurovascular structures compared to traditional manual techniques. The procedure begins with infiltration of a tumescent solution (dilute local anaesthetic with epinephrine in saline) into the target area. The epinephrine component causes vasoconstriction, reducing intraoperative bleeding; the large fluid volume firm the fat compartment, making cannula movement smoother and more controlled. Small 3 mm access incisions are placed in inconspicuous sites; the resulting scars measure approximately 0.5 cm and fade significantly within 12 months. The cannula breaks up fat lobules and aspirates them through negative pressure. Incisions are closed with a fine suture. Post-operative swelling and bruising are typical, resolving over 2–3 weeks. The compression garment worn for one month compresses the treated area to prevent seroma formation, support skin retraction, and improve the final contour result. The three-month assessment is the clinical milestone for final evaluation — sufficient time for all oedema to resolve and for overlying skin to begin contracting to the new tissue volume. Skin quality is the primary determinant of eligibility: patients with good skin elasticity (typically under 35) achieve the smoothest results as the skin retracts uniformly. Older patients or those with very lax skin may be advised to combine liposuction with skin-excision procedures (e.g., abdominoplasty, arm or thigh lift) for optimal outcomes. Contraindications include active infections and current use of aspirin or anticoagulants.
