Minor tenderness for two to three days is normal. Patients are advised to avoid extreme heat (sauna, sunbathing) and vigorous kissing or pressing the lips for the first two to three days. Duration of the result varies by individual metabolism, lip movement habits and the specific product used, but typically ranges from six to twelve months.
