Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy at Medest uses a concentrated preparation of the patient's own blood platelets — obtained from a small venous sample drawn at the start of the appointment — to stimulate skin regeneration, improve texture and tone, reduce deep wrinkles, diminish dark circles, and support hair follicle health. Because PRP is derived from your own blood, there is no risk of allergic reaction or rejection. MUDr. Vojtková processes the blood using a centrifuge to isolate the plasma fraction concentrated with growth factors, then injects it precisely into the areas requiring regeneration.
About this treatment
Platelet-rich plasma therapy harnesses the body's own regenerative biology. Platelets are the blood components responsible for healing — they release growth factors including PDGF, TGF-β, VEGF, EGF, and IGF when activated, triggering the proliferation of fibroblasts, keratinocytes, and endothelial cells. Preparation required
Eat a light meal before the appointment — avoid fasting so blood draw is comfortable. Avoid NSAIDs and alcohol 48 hours before. No other contraindications beyond blood-draw tolerability.
