Microneedling (Collagen Induction Therapy)

Microneedling (also called collagen induction therapy) uses a device with multiple fine needles to create thousands of controlled micro-punctures in the skin's surface, triggering the wound-healing cascade and stimulating new collagen and elastin production without removing any skin. Microneedling works on the principle that controlled micro-injury accelerates skin renewal — the same biological process that heals wounds, but triggered intentionally and at a micro-scale that avoids the prolonged recovery of ablative lasers or chemical peels. The needling device penetrates the epidermis and superficial dermis to a programmable depth (typically 0.5–2.5 mm depending on the treatment zone and concern), creating vertical channels that are too small to cause visible damage but sufficient to activate platelets, release growth factors and initiate the fibroblast-driven collagen remodelling cascade.
