Erbium:YAG laser operates at a wavelength of 2940 nm, which is highly absorbed by water in skin tissue. Preparation required
Stop isotretinoin (Roaccutane) at least 6 months before. Avoid sun exposure 4 weeks prior. Topical anaesthetic applied on the day. Arrange recovery time — skin will peel and be sensitive for 5–10 days.
