Intense Pulsed Light treatment on the Anthélia system that uses broad-spectrum light to address several skin concerns in one platform. Unlike a single-wavelength laser, IPL releases a filtered spectrum of light absorbed by pigment in hair, sun spots and broken capillaries, heating and breaking them down while leaving surrounding skin intact. At this Brno dermatology practice it is used for hair removal, overall skin rejuvenation, fading of pigmentation spots and reduction of vascular lesions such as redness and broken capillaries.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a broad-spectrum light treatment that, unlike a laser's single wavelength, delivers a filtered band of light absorbed selectively by the pigment in unwanted hair, sun-induced brown spots and the haemoglobin in small blood vessels. The absorbed light converts to heat that damages the hair follicle or breaks down the pigment and vascular lesions, while the surrounding skin is spared, and the controlled thermal stimulus also encourages a general rejuvenation response in the treated skin. At Estetická dermatologie MUDr. Hrabálková the treatment is delivered on the Anthélia IPL system and used for hair removal, skin rejuvenation, fading of pigment spots and reduction of vascular lesions such as facial redness and broken capillaries. A session takes around 15 to 30 minutes depending on the area: the skin is cleansed, a cooling gel is applied, protective eyewear is worn, and the handpiece delivers pulses of light across the target, felt as a quick warm snap. There is little to no downtime — mild redness or warmth that settles within hours, with treated pigment spots sometimes darkening briefly before flaking away. Because hair grows in cycles and pigment clears gradually, both hair removal and skin concerns are treated as a planned course of sessions spaced several weeks apart, with results building progressively. It suits people wanting longer-term hair reduction or improvement in sun damage, redness and uneven tone, and because a physician operates the device, treatment is matched carefully to skin type. IPL is less suitable for very dark or recently tanned skin and is avoided over active infection, certain photosensitising medications and during pregnancy; the doctor assesses skin type, performs any needed test patch and confirms suitability at the consultation.
