Fat-dissolving injections that target small, localised fat deposits. At Estemedic MUDr. Ilona Karasová injects a phosphatidylcholine-based solution through a grid of small injections into the fatty tissue, which disrupts the fat-cell membranes; the released contents are then cleared away by the body through the lymphatic system and blood vessels, reducing the volume of the treated area. It is a contouring tool for smaller pockets that resist diet and exercise — not a weight-loss method or an alternative to liposuction for large areas.
