Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)

The mini abdominoplasty (CZK 39,000) uses a shorter incision and works only on the lower abdominal zone below the navel — suitable for patients whose concern is limited to below the navel and whose navel sits at an appropriate height without repositioning. Surgery takes two to five hours under general anaesthesia (duration varies with the extent of correction and whether liposuction is combined). General anaesthesia is administered at St. Anna Faculty Hospital, where patients stay for a minimum of one night post-operatively. A compression bandage or abdominal binder is applied in theatre and worn for six to ten weeks to support the healing abdominal wall. Patients typically return to desk work within two to four weeks, avoid strenuous lifting for three months, and see their final result by three months — though scar maturation continues for up to one year. Ideal candidates are adults who are at or close to their target body weight and have realistic expectations about the outcome; abdominoplasty is a contouring and skin-reduction procedure, not a weight-loss tool.
