An optional histological examination — CZK 1,000 additional — is recommended to confirm the removed tissue is benign. The procedure is quick, outpatient, and leaves a small linear scar that continues to fade over 12 months.

Surgical mole removal at Estela involves local anaesthetic infiltration around the lesion, followed by elliptical excision of the mole with an appropriate margin of surrounding normal skin, and fine suture closure that minimises the width of the resulting scar. The excision is performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon, meaning the closure is executed with the same level of technique applied to cosmetic facial procedures — an advantage over dermatological or GP-based removal in terms of scar outcome. The excised tissue can be sent for histological examination at an additional cost of CZK 1,000. Histology is particularly recommended for any lesion with irregular borders, colour variation, or change in size or shape, as it provides a definitive pathological diagnosis and documented confirmation of complete excision margins. The result is typically available within one to two weeks. Each additional mole removed in the same session costs only CZK 500, incentivising patients to address multiple lesions simultaneously and minimising the number of visits, total anaesthetic exposures, and recovery episodes. The procedure takes approximately 20 minutes per mole under local anaesthesia. Sutures are typically removed at day seven to ten. The resulting scar fades progressively over 12 months; scar massage from day 14 and sun protection accelerate the process.
