These treatments are suited to patients who are within a healthy weight range but have stubborn subcutaneous fat in specific areas that has proven resistant to diet and exercise. Cryolipolysis (fat freezing) applies controlled cooling to temperatures as low as -13°C via a vacuum applicator that draws fatty tissue between two cooling panels. Fat cells (adipocytes) are uniquely sensitive to cold and undergo apoptosis (programmed cell death) at temperatures that leave surrounding skin and muscle tissue unharmed — a phenomenon known as cold-induced lipolysis. Once destroyed, the fat cells are processed and cleared through the lymphatic system over 6–12 weeks, producing a visible reduction in the treated area. A single session typically achieves 20–25% fat layer reduction in the target zone, with results continuing to improve for up to three months post-treatment. Laser thermolysis (offered at Ensoul as Warm Sculpting) uses laser energy in the 1060 nm wavelength range to heat subcutaneous fat cells to 42–47°C — the therapeutic window at which fat cells experience irreversible thermal injury while an in-built cooling plate maintains skin surface temperature and patient comfort. The lymphatic system then clears the damaged adipocytes over 8–12 weeks. Warm Sculpting is particularly well-suited to the flanks, lower abdomen, and inner thighs, where the fat tissue characteristics and skin surface geometry suit flat applicators rather than the cupped vacuum of cryolipolysis.
