About this treatment
Orthodontic appliances are devices used to move teeth and influence the growth of the jaws to correct crowding, spacing, a narrow arch or an uneven bite. EM Dent provides removable and fixed orthodontic appliances, which are particularly useful in growing children where guiding development early can simplify or reduce later treatment.
A removable plate can be taken in and out for cleaning and is used to make specific tooth movements or hold space. A fixed palatal expander such as a Hyrax or Marco Rosa appliance is cemented to the back teeth and gradually widens a narrow upper jaw to create room and improve how the teeth meet. Myofunctional appliances help address habits and muscle patterns — such as mouth breathing or tongue posture — that can affect how the teeth and jaws develop.…
