Dentures replace several or all missing teeth with a removable appliance, restoring chewing, speech and the look of the smile. EM Dent makes full acrylic dentures, metal-framed skeletal dentures for a slimmer, stronger fit, flexible dentures and smaller partial micro-dentures. The most suitable type depends on how many teeth are missing and the condition of the remaining teeth and gums, discussed at consultation.

About this treatment

A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and the surrounding tissue. It restores the ability to chew and speak, supports the lips and cheeks, and improves the appearance of the smile. Dentures can replace a full arch of teeth or just a few, and EM Dent offers several designs to suit different needs and budgets.

A full acrylic denture rests on the gums and replaces all the teeth in an arch; a wire-reinforced version adds strength. A skeletal denture has a slim, rigid cobalt-chrome framework that clasps onto remaining natural teeth, making it more stable and less bulky than all-acrylic designs, and it can be finished with a tooth-coloured Thermosens material for a more discreet look. Flexible dentures use a lightweight, gum-coloured material without metal clasps…
