The PRP process involves drawing a small volume of blood, spinning it in a centrifuge to separate plasma rich in platelets and growth factors, then delivering the concentrate via microinjections or in combination with SkinPen microneedling. Results become visible within one to two weeks as collagen remodeling progresses, with the full benefit of a series apparent over several months.
PRF uses a slower centrifuge spin that retains fibrinogens, stem cells, and white blood cells alongside platelets, yielding a denser, more slowly released concentrate. PRF is particularly suited to the delicate under-eye and tear-trough area, where the fibrin matrix provides sustained growth factor delivery.
