Bilateral breast MRI on the Siemens Aera 1.5T at 85,000 HUF. Suitable for implant assessment and follow-up of known findings without contrast.
The native breast MRI at Duna Medical Center uses dedicated breast coils on the Siemens Magnetom Aera 1.5T for bilateral imaging without gadolinium contrast. The native protocol at 85,000 HUF is primarily suited for breast implant assessment — evaluating silicone implant integrity, detecting intracapsular and extracapsular rupture, and monitoring implant position. For cancer screening and lesion characterisation, contrast-enhanced protocols are recommended: the glandular tissue assessment with contrast is available at 105,000 HUF, while the combined glandular tissue and implant evaluation with contrast is 115,000 HUF. Breast MRI is the most sensitive imaging modality for breast cancer detection and is recommended as a supplementary screening tool for women with BRCA1/2 mutations, strong family history, prior chest wall radiation, or for pre-surgical extent-of-disease mapping. The wide bore scanner reduces claustrophobia during the prone positioning required for breast imaging.
