Laser Vascular Lesion Removal

Laser treatment for visible broken capillaries, spider veins and redness, using targeted light energy that is absorbed by the blood vessel and fades it from view. It is commonly used on the nose, cheeks and chin where fine vessels are most noticeable, and can also treat the neck, décolleté and legs. Single vessels or whole zones can be treated, with some lesions needing more than one session.

Vascular laser treatment targets the haemoglobin inside unwanted blood vessels close to the skin's surface. The laser light is preferentially absorbed by the vessel, which heats and is gradually cleared by the body, so visible broken capillaries, spider veins and diffuse redness fade from view. It is one of the more effective approaches for the fine telangiectasias that commonly appear around the nose, on the cheeks and across the chin, and it can also be directed at the forehead, neck, décolleté, eyelids and the legs. A session is quick — from a single vessel to a full zone — and you may notice slight redness, warmth or temporary darkening of the treated vessels, which settles over the following days. Sun protection before and after is important, and very tanned skin is usually treated with caution. Some vessels clear in one session while others, particularly larger or more numerous ones, need a small number of sessions spaced a few weeks apart.
