Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, is one of the most popular facial plastic surgery procedures for patients seeking a refreshed, more alert appearance without the more extensive downtime of a full facelift. Most patients experience seven to ten days of downtime before resuming normal activities; bruising and swelling typically resolve within about one month. The final, settled result is visible once all residual swelling has subsided.
