At its core, the formula combines 33% trichloroacetic acid — a concentration that would normally produce significant surface frosting and 7 to 10 days of visible peeling — with hydrogen peroxide, which acts as a radical scavenger to neutralise the surface reaction. The result is a formulation that penetrates to the deep dermis to stimulate fibroblasts without producing epidermal necrosis or visible peeling. The key therapeutic mechanism of PRX T-33 is the stimulation of dermal fibroblasts through a chemical signal that mimics wound-healing without creating an actual wound.
