Rhinoplasty is one of the more technically demanding facial operations because small changes to the underlying bone and cartilage have a visible effect on the whole face. At Klinika Chirurgii Plastycznej Dr Nawrocki the procedure is carried out under general anaesthesia and tailored to each patient after a detailed consultation that maps which features to address — for example reducing a dorsal hump, refining or rotating the tip, narrowing the bridge or improving symmetry — while keeping the result in proportion with the eyes, lips and chin. Where a structural issue affects airflow, functional correction can be considered alongside the aesthetic work. The operation typically takes a couple of hours, after which a small external splint supports the nose while it settles. Bruising and swelling around the eyes are normal in the first one to two weeks, and most people take time away from work during that period; the splint is usually removed after about a week. The nose continues to refine over the following months as residual swelling resolves, with the final shape becoming clear over a longer period.
