This treatment removes a range of benign skin lesions — such as skin tags, viral warts, soft fibromas, small superficial pigmented spots, corns and similar minor changes — using a PlasmaLift plasma pen and related techniques. The plasma pen generates a tiny electrical arc that, without touching the skin, sublimates the targeted tissue with great precision, allowing small lesions to be treated point by point while limiting damage to the surrounding skin. At Dr Luch the change is assessed first, and this assessment is important: any lesion with features that could suggest something other than a harmless growth is referred for proper dermatological or surgical evaluation rather than simply removed, so that nothing requiring laboratory examination is treated cosmetically. Suitable benign lesions are treated under topical anaesthetic in a short session; the area typically forms a small scab that should be left to heal and falls away over one to two weeks, after which the skin continues to settle. Aftercare focuses on keeping the area clean, not picking the scab, and protecting it from the sun to reduce the risk of a mark. More than one session may be needed for larger or multiple lesions.
