Power-assisted liposuction (PAL) is the traditional suction-based technique: a cannula connected to a suction device removes fat deposits that are resistant to diet and exercise. It is effective for larger volume reductions across the abdomen, flanks, back, thighs, and arms.
VASER liposuction uses low-frequency ultrasound energy to emulsify fat cells before they are aspirated. The selective liquefaction process preserves blood vessels, nerves, and connective tissue — resulting in less bruising, less swelling, and reduced post-operative pain compared to standard liposuction.
