Double eyelid surgery creates or enhances the upper eyelid crease. The suture (scarless) technique uses buried sutures to form the crease without skin incisions — recovery is 3–5 days and suits younger patients with minimal excess skin or fat. The incisional method involves a precise skin excision and is preferred when there is moderate excess skin, fat, or when longer-lasting results are required. Upper blepharoplasty removes excess skin and fat from the upper eyelid, restoring a stable crease and improving peripheral vision where hooding is significant. Recovery is typically 1–2 weeks. Lower blepharoplasty targets eye bags and laxity of the lower lid. Incisions can be placed below the lash line (transcutaneous) or inside the eyelid (transconjunctival, with no visible scar). Fat is removed or transposed to fill hollow tear trough areas; muscle tightening may also be performed. Laser resurfacing is often combined to improve lower lid skin quality. Recovery is 10 days to 2 weeks. Ptosis correction addresses droopy upper eyelids caused by a weakened levator muscle — a functional concern that can obstruct the upper visual field. Both incisional and non-incisional (suture-based) ptosis repairs are offered. Epicanthoplasty (medial or lateral) can be combined with any eyelid procedure to widen the visible eye aperture for a more open, expressive appearance. All eyelid procedures are performed under sedation at an accredited surgical facility. Most patients return to work within 10–14 days.
