Vascular Laser — Thread Vein Removal (QuadroStar ProYellow)

A yellow-light vascular laser (QuadroStar ProYellow) that targets visible facial blood vessels — broken capillaries, spider veins, redness around the nose and cheeks — by selectively heating the vessel so it closes and fades. Because the wavelength is well absorbed by the blood, surrounding skin is largely spared. Small single vessels through to the whole face can be treated, and the clinic also uses the laser to remove certain skin lesions.

The QuadroStar ProYellow is a vascular laser that emits a yellow wavelength strongly absorbed by the haemoglobin inside small blood vessels. When the beam passes over a visible capillary or spider vein, the vessel is selectively heated so that it coagulates and is gradually reabsorbed by the body, while the surrounding skin is largely unaffected. This makes it well suited to broken capillaries, diffuse redness and individual thread veins on the nose, cheeks, chin, neck and décolleté. At Dr Kopaczyński the area is cleansed and your eyes protected before treatment, which is usually quick — from a few minutes for a single vessel up to around half an hour for the whole face. Most people feel a brief snapping or warm sensation as each vessel is treated; a cooling effect helps with comfort. Treated vessels may look slightly darker or develop minor redness or swelling that settles over a few days, and some vessels respond best to more than one session. There is minimal downtime, though sun protection afterwards is important. The same device can be used to remove certain benign skin lesions, priced according to size and number. The physician assesses each vessel or lesion beforehand, advises how many sessions are likely and confirms suitability; the treatment is avoided over recently tanned skin and in pregnancy.
