The Frax 1550 is a non-ablative fractional laser that delivers energy into the skin in a grid of microscopic treatment zones while leaving the surrounding tissue intact. Because the effect builds as collagen remodels, a course of sessions spaced several weeks apart tends to give the best outcome, with improvement continuing for some time afterwards.
