Skin-lesion removal covers the surgical excision of a range of benign skin changes — including moles (naevi), skin tags, fibromas and similar lesions — carried out by a plastic surgeon. Beyond simply removing the lesion, a plastic-surgical approach prioritises a clean excision and careful, fine closure to keep any resulting scar as discreet as possible, which is particularly valuable for lesions on the face or other visible areas.

At Dr Biegański's clinic the surgeon first examines the lesion to plan the most appropriate method of removal. The area is numbed with local anaesthetic, the lesion is excised, and the wound is closed with fine sutures where needed; the procedure is usually short and well tolerated.
