Duration

A bone-augmentation procedure that increases bone height in the upper jaw so implants can be placed where the sinus floor would otherwise be too low. The open (lateral-window) technique is used when more substantial grafting is needed. It is a preparatory step for implant treatment, planned from a CBCT scan and priced separately from the implants and the closed-technique alternative.
A sinus lift (sinus augmentation) creates additional bone in the upper back jaw, where the floor of the maxillary sinus often sits too close to the ridge to allow implant placement after teeth have been lost. By gently lifting the sinus membrane and adding bone-grafting biomaterial beneath it, the procedure increases the available bone height so implants can be securely anchored. At Dobosz Implanty the open, or lateral-window, method is used for cases that need a larger gain in bone, while a less invasive closed (crestal) technique with biomaterial is offered where only a modest increase is required. The procedure is planned from a CBCT 3D scan that shows the sinus anatomy and the amount of bone present, and is carried out under local anaesthetic. Grafting biomaterial is placed to build up the site, and a healing period follows during which the graft matures before — or sometimes at the same time as — implants are placed, depending on the situation. Because it is a preparatory step, the sinus lift is priced separately from the implants themselves, and the clinic also offers guided bone regeneration for building up bone width or height in other areas. Sinus augmentation is associated with making implant treatment possible for patients who would otherwise have insufficient upper-jaw bone, and the consultation and 3D imaging determine whether it is needed and which technique is appropriate. Aftercare guidance is provided to support healing and protect the graft during the recovery period.
