Microneedling Radiofrequency

Needle radiofrequency combines fine microneedling with radiofrequency energy released into the skin to tighten laxity and refine texture more powerfully than microneedling alone. The radiofrequency heats the deeper dermis to stimulate collagen, making it well suited to early jowls, the neck and crêpey skin, as well as enlarged pores and some scarring. A short course gives the most noticeable firming, and face, neck, décolletage and body areas are all treatable.

Microneedling radiofrequency pairs the collagen-stimulating effect of microneedling with controlled radiofrequency energy delivered from the needle tips into the deeper layers of the skin. While the micro-needles trigger the surface healing response, the radiofrequency heats the dermis, which is intended to contract existing collagen and prompt new collagen and elastin formation — giving a firming, tightening effect that plain microneedling does not achieve on its own. At Diamond Estetic the area is cleansed and numbed before treatment, which takes around forty-five to sixty minutes depending on the zone. Expect redness and a feeling of mild tightness or warmth for a day or two, with little other downtime. It is particularly useful for early skin laxity — softening jowls, firming the lower face and neck, and improving crêpey skin — as well as enlarged pores, uneven texture and some scarring, and the clinic can treat the face, neck, décolletage and abdomen, with scars and stretch marks quoted individually. Because results build as collagen remodels, a course of around three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart is commonly recommended, with effects continuing to develop over the following months and occasional maintenance afterwards. Strict sun protection is advised during and after a course. Suitability, including for those with certain implanted electronic devices, is assessed beforehand, and the treatment is avoided over active infection and in pregnancy.
