This combined examination pairs the full structural brain MRI with time-of-flight MR angiography of the intracranial arterial circulation, all performed in a single session on the 3T scanner. The angiographic component visualizes the internal carotid arteries, vertebrobasilar system, circle of Willis, and proximal branches of the anterior, middle, and posterior cerebral arteries without requiring intravenous contrast. The package is particularly relevant for patients with a family history of intracranial aneurysm or subarachnoid haemorrhage, those with transient ischaemic symptoms, or anyone seeking a comprehensive neurological baseline scan. The 3T field strength improves background suppression in time-of-flight imaging, yielding cleaner depiction of small-calibre vessels and better sensitivity for small aneurysms. At EUR 350 the combination offers meaningful savings compared to booking the brain MRI and angiography as separate single-region scans. The examination adds approximately 15 minutes to the standard brain scan time.
