Hyaluronic acid dermal filler used to soften static wrinkles and folds — most often the nasolabial lines that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth. By placing gel beneath the crease, the skin is supported and the fold looks smoother and less shadowed. At DeuClinic the filler is matched to the area, contains lidocaine for comfort and can be dissolved if an adjustment is ever wanted.

About this treatment

This treatment uses cross-linked hyaluronic acid gel to fill and soften static wrinkles — lines that remain visible when the face is at rest. The most commonly treated area is the nasolabial fold between the nose and the mouth, although the same approach can address marionette lines and other set creases. By restoring support beneath the skin, the fold is lifted and its shadow reduced, giving a smoother, fresher appearance.

At DeuClinic the area is first numbed with a topical anaesthetic, and the fillers used also contain lidocaine for added comfort. The gel is placed with a fine needle or a blunt cannula depending on the site, and the result is visible immediately and continues to settle over one to two weeks as any swelling resolves.
