Medical scalp mesotherapy for hair loss — a procedure in which a cocktail of active substances is introduced into the scalp's dermal layer using the Dermica Pen microneedling device. The micro-channels created by the pen's fine needles deliver the active compounds directly to the base of each hair follicle, bypassing the barrier of the scalp's outer layer and achieving local concentrations that topical products cannot match. Conditions addressed include androgenetic alopecia (genetic hair thinning), stress-related hair loss, hormone-related shedding, nutritional deficiency hair loss, and poor scalp circulation. At Dermo Písek the protocol may be combined with biostimulatory laser and is overseen by the clinic's dermatovenerology team.
Scalp mesotherapy at Dermo Písek is administered using the Dermica Pen — a motorised microneedling device that drives very fine needles into the superficial dermal layer of the scalp at a controlled depth and frequency. This creates thousands of micro-channels through which a carefully selected cocktail of active substances — typically including vitamins, amino acids, peptides and growth factors that support follicle metabolism — is introduced directly to the perifollicular tissue. The local delivery bypasses the pharmacokinetic limitations of oral or topical administration: active ingredients reach the follicle bulb in concentrations that are orders of magnitude higher than anything achievable through the skin's intact surface. The clinical rationale rests on the biology of the hair follicle cycle. A hair follicle that has miniaturised due to androgen sensitivity (androgenetic alopecia), poor vascular supply, nutritional deficiency or inflammation can in many cases be restimulated if the underlying driver is addressed and the follicle environment is normalised. Mesotherapy aims to: - Improve local microcirculation around the follicle - Provide the micronutrients (biotin, zinc, vitamin B complex) that the follicle requires for healthy keratin synthesis - Reduce scalp inflammation that accelerates the miniaturisation process - Extend the anagen (growth) phase of the follicle cycle At Dermo Písek the mesotherapy programme is part of a comprehensive conservative hair-loss approach that also draws on biostimulatory laser therapy (also available at the clinic) and, when appropriate, systemic or topical pharmacological support. A full assessment of the cause of hair loss is carried out first — the clinic's dermatovenerology background means that systemic causes (thyroid disorders, iron deficiency, hormonal changes, medications) are evaluated before treatment is started, so that the mesotherapy is targeted rather than generic. The Dermica Pen delivers the active substance across the entire affected scalp in a single session, typically taking 30–45 minutes. The sensation is a mild prickling across the scalp; most patients find it well-tolerated. Mild redness and sensitivity lasting a few hours post-session is normal. Causes of hair loss addressed: androgenetic alopecia (male and female pattern), telogen effluvium (stress-related shedding), hormonal disruption (thyroid dysfunction, postpartum loss), nutritional deficiency (iron, zinc, biotin), medication-related shedding, poor scalp microcirculation, and diabetic hair loss. A course of 4–8 sessions spaced 2–4 weeks apart is typically recommended, followed by maintenance sessions every 2–3 months.

What's Included
Preparation Required
Wash your hair the morning of the treatment and arrive with a clean scalp — avoid applying styling products, dry shampoo or serums on the day. Discontinue blood-thinning supplements (aspirin, omega-3 at high doses) 5 days before if possible and with medical approval.
1,500 Kč per dose application (one scalp session). Courses of multiple sessions are typically recommended — the clinic will advise on the number of sessions based on the degree and cause of hair loss. Often combined with biostimulatory laser sessions (charged separately at 100–200 Kč per session).
